Meet the artist behind Heavenly Fur

Discover the story, passion, and personal journey that led to the creation of these heartfelt felted pet portraits.

A heartfelt journey begins

Losing my beloved Bentley was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. I wanted a way to keep his memory alive, something I could hold onto forever. That’s when I decided to recreate my favourite image of him in felt—a heartfelt tribute that let me keep a part of him close.

That experience inspired me to help others going through the same pain. That’s why I started Heavenly Fur. I create custom felted portraits of pets who have passed, capturing their unique features, personalities, and even the little details that made them special.

More than just art: a personal tribute

I love art and photography, but I wanted to try something different. I started felting a few years ago, but when Bentley died, I felt that it would be the best 3D photo I would have of him. I felted Bentley with his favourite blanket, and I put all my attention into creating the memory of that beloved pet.

Each piece is made with love and care, honouring the bond you shared with your pet. My goal is to provide you with a keepsake that brings comfort, just as my first felted portrait of Bentley did for me.

The devotion behind each portrait

Time and patience are at the heart of every portrait. Felting is not a fast process; it takes dedication. I have lots of patience and I love ensuring that I capture all the details. I use high-quality wool to create these pet memorials, and my dedicated desk area is set up just for felting, allowing me to focus completely on bringing your pet's memory to life.

Whether it’s a favourite toy, a beloved collar, or just their signature expression, I work to bring those memories to life in a way that feels personal and meaningful.

"I look at Bentley every day. He's not here physically, but in that felt portrait, he's here. It's more than just a simple picture; it's a felt memory."
